​3-D Printing offers a wide spectrum of manufacturing capabilities to students of many experience levels. Rapid prototyping using 3-D printing allows building of highly complex designs relatively quickly, and at low cost.

Prices: $1 per hour plus
ABS - 10 cents/gram
Dissolvable ABS support filament - 12 cents/gram
PLA and tear-away support material - 7 cents/gram
To submit a print job:
1. Send an email to the Innoavtion Team (miestudentinnovation@gmail.com) with a date you would like to meet with a team member to print your part. Include "3-D printing job request" in your subject line.
2. If you have access to the Makerbot Desktop (free to download), include an estimated printing time (not required).
3. Once an Innovation Lab team member has corresponded with you about a printing date, bring your part file (.stl) to the Innovation Lab where it can be exported within the Makerbot Desktop for printing.
*You will recieve the cost quote prior to printing, and you can claim your part and its care instructions upon payment.
